The 2019 program is now complete. Over the next couple weeks, the contractor will be revisiting this year's segments to seal joints and complete the restoration.
Estimated completion date: Completed

The base course of asphalt is down on Warrington Court and Warrington Drive. Late this week, the contractor will be installing edge drain and stone base on the second side of Lynwood Drive. Paving the base course on this side is expected on Monday. Existing concrete curb and gutter removals and replacements have taken place on Edinborough Lane and Inverness Court. Early next week, the contractor is expected to begin milling the existing asphalt, making any repairs to the milled surface and then relaying the top course of asphalt.
Estimated completion date: November 1, 2019

The contractor will be pouring new concrete curbing along the north side of the Industrial spur road this week. The large, four-sided box culvert was placed and crews will start the process of backfilling the area. Over the next couple weeks, the contractor will concentrate on the remaining cuts and fills along the new Crescent Boulevard at Grand River Avenue as well as beginning the removals and replacements of the existing concrete at the intersection of Novi Road and Crescent Boulevard.
Estimated completion date: November 1, 2019

The contractor has closed Flint Street (gravel portion), from Grand River to Novi Road. A bulk of the earthwork and grading has taken place, but now the contractor is currently stopped until Detroit Edison and associated franchise utilities can relocate their facilities out of the limits of the roadway. The contractor has also completed the underground storm water detention system along the north end of Flint Street.
Estimated completion date: December 1, 2019

The first lift of asphalt has been placed on Cabot, Lewis and Trans-X Drives. The contractor should be completing the concrete curb and storm water catch basin repairs this week. It is expected that the final top course of asphalt will be placed on Cabot, Lewis and Trans-X Drives next week. Work on Donelson is scheduled to begin in a couple weeks..
Estimated completion date: October 15, 2019

The contractor is expected to be complete with the open-cut sections of sanitary sewer, west of Garfield this week. Over the next couple of weeks, the contractor will be upgrading the size and location of the dewatering system in order to better handle the amount of ground water encountered to date. With this upgrade, we expect to see more progress in the coming months on the directional drilling segments west of Beck Road.
Estimated completion date: January 27, 2020

The contractor has completed all the concrete work on the Meadowbrook Road bridge. All that remains is to seal the concrete joints and place the epoxy coating on the bridge deck. This work is expected to be complete by this Saturday. Once complete, the Meadowbrook Road bridge will be immediately reopened. The Cranbrooke Drive bridge is expected to be closed on Monday, October 14.
Estimated completion date: November 4, 2019

The contractor has completed paving and striping of the southbound Haggerty Road right turn lane. The 14 Mile and Haggerty intersection was fully reopened to traffic on August 23. Crews will also be completing the installation of new sidewalks, pedestrian push buttons and traffic signal conduits at the Beck Road/Pontiac Trail intersection. After this work is complete, we will have to wait nearly 25 weeks on the delivery of the mast arms and poles.
Estimated completion date: April 1, 2020

In August 2012, Novi citizens overwhelmingly passed a road millage allowing for more than $5 million to be used in annual road and pathway investments. Funds will be used to maintain and improve neighborhood (subdivision/side streets) and major municipal roadways (mile roads, Beck Road, etc.), and to make sidewalk and pathway connections.
