The Northland Education and Business Alliance (NEBA) has openings for businesses to meet with high school parents at a special event Thursday, Jan. 30.
The High Demand Career Night is designed to connect Clay and Platte County parents with information about dynamic careers that are often overlooked by students and parents. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Staley High School gymnasium, 2800 NE Shoal Creek Parkway, KCMO.
NEBA Educational Chair Brian Noller said business participants are especially sought in five areas. “We have had good responses in some categories, but still need more businesses in the areas of IT, hospitality and tourism, medicine and healthcare, and advanced manufacturing,” he said. “To support our partner, Northland CAPS, we also need professionals in the area of Logistics.”
An affiliate of the Clay County Economic Development Council, NEBA focuses on connecting parents in Clay and Platte counties with information about today’s dynamic careers. The goal is to help parents and students gain information of career options, including many high paying opportunities in the Northland.
