WOMEN'S WEEKEND RETREAT:  The Rev. Susan Guthrie will lead us in retreat entitled; Dark Love: Meeting the Beloved at the Empty Tomb . Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb not expecting anything, but she leaves with everything. So it is with our own prayer – we come in darkness, but leave as apostles. With John 20:1-18, we look at Mary’s transformation as we contemplate our own encounter with the Beloved in the “dark love” deepening from contemplation to mystical union.
The retreat takes place at the Mercy Center on Friday at 5 PM and ends on Saturday afternoon. Contact Laurie for more information at 314.721.1502 or Laurie@csmsg.org .
More information about Suzanne can be found at http://edgeofenclosure.org/aboutsuzanne.html . Mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss this retreat!
Saturday, March 14
CONFIRMATION is the second half of baptism, a formal marker, “confirmation,” of what is already true: your membership in the mystical Body of Christ and your commission to serve Him as he calls you, encouraged and empowered by his Spirit. Whether you would like to be Confirmed or Received, the effect is the same – formal membership in the Episcopal Church and of St. Michael & St. George. Confirmation class, taught by the Rev. Peter Speropulos will be offered in the Sverdrup Room on Saturday March 14 from 11 AM-3 PM. Lunch will be served. For more information or to sign up, contact Laurie Brown: L aurie@csmsg.org or 314.721.1502.
