Executive Presence "Empowering Professional Women" (August 23)
This event is for like-minded professional women looking to explore how to consistently present themselves in the workplace to feel confident and powerful in their appearance in order to match expertise, style and personal brand. Our committee spans 5 generations at every level of our careers. This event will feature presentations on Non-Verbal Communication and Tailoring Your Look, lunch, raffle prizes, happy hour and more. Obstructed View Art Exhibit (July 9 - September 13)
Member Toni Miraldi of Mural Envy has a new art exhibit on display in the Gallery at Danbury City Hall. "Obstructed View" will run from July 9-September 13th with a closing reception on Thursday, September 13 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Salvation Army "The Arts & The Army" Art Showcase (September 13)
Join the Salvation Army at the beautiful Palace Theater in Waterbury for this first ever "The Arts and the Army" Art Showcase. The event will be held on Thursday, September 13 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the Palace Theater Box Office or online at https://ctri.salvationarmy.org/SNE/Waterbury. "Who's Your Caddy?" 11th Annual Jane Doe No More Golf Outing (September 17)
Join Jane Doe No More for their 11th Annual Golf Outing at the Chippanee Country Club, Bristol. New this year, enjoy a morning flight for women and men with 18 holes of golf! Designer Handbag Bingo from Waterbury Hospital Auxiliary (September 27)
The Waterbury Hospital Auxiliary presents Designer Handbag Bingo! Enjoy a fun night out with your friends on Thursday, September 27 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church located on Chase Parkway in Waterbury. Doors open at 5:00 PM and bingo starts at 6:30 PM. There will be 15 rounds of bingo and each game will feature a different designer handbag as the prize, in addition to raffles. Tickets are $35 per person which includes 3 boards per game, with additional bingo boards available for purchase. Bring your own food and drinks! (Coffee and water will be available). Acts 4 Ministry Kicked Off Back-to-School Campaign With Donation From Exchange Club of Waterbury
The non-denominational nonprofit Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. received of a donation from the Exchange Club of Waterbury Charitable Foundation, Inc. that began their 14th annual Back-to-School "Swap and Shop," of school uniform tops and bottoms. During the "Swap and Shop" gently-worn donated and newly-purchased uniforms will be distributed in August free or at low costs to children throughout the Greater Waterbury region. Acts 4 is seeking new or gently-used uniform tops in white, blue (any shade), black or gray, and bottoms in khaki, navy, black and gray. All sizes accepted, sizes 6, 7, 8, and above are especially needed, plus book bags, lunch bags, rulers, folders and writing tools.Donations can be brought to the Acts 4 Ministry offices year-round at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Items can also be placed in the Acts 4 Ministry Donation Box outside their building.
