Great Masters coaches do a marvelous job of imparting their swimming knowledge on those in their charge with vim, vigor, and enthusiasm. Be mindful, however, that your enthusiasm may lead to complexity, confusion, and chaos. Too many commands, suggestions, or criticisms delivered in what you think is a condensed version of Doc Counsilman's "The Science of Swimming" comes across more like Tolstoy's "War and Peace," leaving your swimmers bewildered and unresponsive. Strive to keep what you say simple.
