Each month students learn a Bible verse and recite it together during our morning prayers. We also pray a particular prayer each month.
Our Bible verse focus for the month of February is: Matthew 6:33
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Our prayer focus is the
Act of Contrition.

Pure and Simple Evening for 7th and 8th-grade students and parents
|
|
Pure and Simple is an evening presented by the Department of Catholic Education of the Archdiocese of Mobile. The evening will present the Catholic view of what it means to be made male and female along with practical tips for living this truth. The primary goal of the event is to facilitate communication between students and their parents.
This event is for parents and students. The evening begins with Mass, followed by dinner and a large group presentation. The large group is then split up into smaller group presentations to parents, young women, and young men.
Please join us Tuesday evening, March 10 at our church. Mass will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and presentations. It should conclude by 8:00 p.m. This is a free event, but please call the school office to make your reservation.

We fully believe in the partnership we have with our parents in the education of our students. Teachers are always willing to meet with you regarding any concerns you may have about the education or development of your child. However, these conferences must be scheduled. You are welcome to walk your children to school each morning, but you should not try to conference with your child’s teacher during this drop off time. Our teachers have the responsibility of supervising their students during this time. Please be considerate of that. Instead, please arrange for a set time to meet, when the teacher can fully focus on the issues you would like to discuss.

Please do not pull into our main parking lot during carpool times (7:20-7:55) If you are not following our carpool procedures, then you must park in the parking lot behind the rectory or on the corner of Evergreen and McKenna. If you do park, you must walk with your child to the school building. Please adhere to these rules. This is for the safety of all of our students.
|
|
Please note, the Iowa Test of Basic Skills will be given to students in grades 2-8 on March 18-27. Please do not schedule appointments, vacations, or other activities during these testing dates.
Our school, along with 4 other Archdiocesan schools, has been chosen to pilot a special portion of the IOWA test that is computer-delivered. Students in grades 3-8 will pilot this portion beginning next week during their scheduled computer time. This will not take the place of the testing the students will complete in March, nor will it have any bearing on their testing results.

We are in the midst of the flu season. When children do not feel well in the morning,
PLEASE KEEP THEM AT HOME. While it is admirable that they would want to "try to make it through the day," they run the risk of possible infection to others. Children who have had a fever greater than 100 degrees, vomiting or diarrhea should be kept at home for 24 hours after their temperature has returned to normal and there is no more vomiting or diarrhea. Students with fever, vomiting or diarrhea will be sent home.
