ADAPTATION
The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative along with project partners (San Diego Association of Governments, The San Diego Foundation and The Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve) hosted a workshop to present the findings from the Regional Adaptation Needs Assessment. The needs assessment's goals were to identify gaps in knowledge, funding and key resources needed to advance Climate Adaptation planning in the San Diego Region. The project identified the greatest gaps in adaptation planning to be funding, staffing capacity and actionable guidance. The workshop also highlighted the success of local internal champions from cities throughout San Diego who despite the needs are enabling opportunities for adaptation planning and projects.
