January 2020
Our mission at Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc., is to rescue huskies that are displaced, unwanted, abused, lost, abandoned or scheduled for euthanasia and provide them with a second chance at life by finding them permanent homes.
Jon Snow's Forever Home
Jon Snow was our medical husky who was hit by a car and taken in by the Santa Maria Animal Shelter who reached out to Shadow Husky Rescue to find him a medical foster. We found the perfect fit for him at John Wong's home who made him a permanent part of their family right away! Jon Snow is now named Bai Zhong which means 'Ever Loyal' and is doing wonderful with his forever family!
Medical Huskies
Shadow Husky Rescue has Ice, Max, and Bolt, who are all medical huskies that we have worked with our volunteers and generous donors to get treatment and the care they need. We are working to get them all into amazing and loving forever homes!

All three of these survivors were treated by ACCESS Veterinary Hospital and are on their way to full recoveries!

Ice was assumed to have been hit by a car before ending up at the South LA shelter. He was rescued and taken to surgery where they repaired his broken femur. He is now in medical boarding while he heals and is looking for his forever home.

Max is only 9 months old and was diagnosed with luxating patellas in both knees. He was pulled from the South LA shelter. He has had surgery to repair one side already and will get surgery to repair the other side once he is fully healed. He is already improving so much and we can't wait to see him when he is completely healed! He is also looking for his forever home!

Bolt was hit by a car and left for dead in the middle of the street until Gina Lambert dragged him to the side of the road and waited with him until Animal Control could come pick him up. He was taken to Baldwin Park Animal shelter where his owners decided to relinquish their rights to him. He had no internal injuries just that his pelvis was shattered on the right side and broken on the left. Shadow Husky Rescue pulled him 3 hours before being euthanized and he was treated for his injuries. We are now working to get him into an amazing forever home where he can recover and live his life to the fullest and thank you to Manon Huetter for being his transport and emergency foster.

Cash
Cash is a 2 year old Alaskan Malamute looking for his forever home. He should be the only dog in the home and is better with older kids and adults. He is very people oriented and loves attention.
Chandler
Chandler is a senior husky looking for a forever home. He is between 10-13 and needs a family that is calm and can give him the patient love he needs. He was probably severely neglected before he was rescued so he needs time to get to trust you.
