Titan Takeover
On Saturday, September 9, UW Oshkosh will embark upon a new campus tradition: Titans Takeover the J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

New students are invited to storm the field and create a human tunnel to welcome our Titans football team to the home opener vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg.  Students will then take their seats in the student section to cheer the Titans to victory.

The first 350 new students will receive a FREE Titan Takeover t-shirt and Clash Cash (redeemed game day for a free bag of popcorn).

Students should check in at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium by 12:30 p.m. FREE shuttle bus service to/from Reeve Memorial Union (Algoma Blvd) and Titan Stadium is provided for students, and it begins running at 11:30 a.m.
Think About It
On September 11, all new students will be sent an email to their UWO (Titan Apps) account containing a link to complete the online prevention education program "Think About It." "Think About It" is a course covering sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships and substance use awareness. This course is required of all new incoming UWO students and must be completed by October 13. In addition to being a federal mandate, sexual violence prevention is an important part of our efforts to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive campus.
Tutoring: Center for Academic Resources
The  Center for Academic Resources (CAR) provides one-to-one and small group tutoring for 100, 200 and select 300 level undergraduate classes. Drop-in tutoring is provided for Chemistry 101 and 102. We also have Supplemental Instruction and Peer Educator Review Session programs (described below). There is no charge for students to use these services. Tutoring is offered for fall, spring, interim and summer courses.

The Supplemental Instruction (SI) and Peer Educator Review Session (PERS) Program at UW Oshkosh is a peer-facilitated academic support system in which high-achieving student leaders are trained to facilitate evening review sessions for select courses. While these sessions are not required for students to attend, our past data has shown that students who choose to attend eight or more sessions typically receive one half to one full letter grade higher than those who do not attend. SI and PERS Leaders have already taken the course that they are leading sessions for, earned a high grade and received a favorable recommendation from the cooperating faculty member.

We are located in the Student Success Center, suite 102. For more information, a list of courses we support, and the SI/PERS schedule, please visit our website.
Undergraduate Advising and Resource Center (UARC) Updates
Students can schedule an appointment with a UARC advisor by visiting our office in the Student Success Center room 202 or logging into their Student Success Gateway (they learned about this account during orientation).

Spring registration dates will be posted on Titan Web either on or before September 25.
