A Note from Judy

I enjoy spending time with my dad and waking up to a glowing fire and coffee when I visit my childhood home each Monday.

I also love getting all wrapped up in a cozy blanket with popcorn on a cold winter's night to watch a movie.

This coming week, St. Margaret's will be hosting 25 to 30 guests that don’t have the opportunity to wake up warm with coffee or cuddle up and stay warm in the evenings or even the daytime. What better way to show our light and love for our neighbors who, but for the grace of God, could be us? We are blessed to share our time, talents and resources to provide neighbors in need through winter relief.

Maybe you signed up to provide transportation, fix a meal, be a chaperone, do their laundry or take advantage of the many opportunities available during winter relief. I guarantee there will be a great warm feeling you will receive inside for doing so. NOTE: I will provide a short on-site summary/tour of winter relief this Sunday in the parish hall from 10:15 to 10:30 a.m.

If you haven’t signed up yet to help, you are missing out. Please consider joining me and other members of St. Margaret’s Church in welcoming our guests and shining your light and the love of God this coming week.

You can sign up here online , provide gift cards that our guests can use to stay warm during the daytime on weekdays (fast food restaurants), or find our sign-up table during coffee hour this Sunday in the parish hall.

Servers in Worship Wanted
If you feel the calling, St. Margaret's is looking for parishioners who would serve as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Acolytes, Ushers, Coffee Hour Hosts, and Children's Chapel helpers. There will be an informational meeting for those interested on Sunday, Feb. 16, between services at 10:20 a.m. in the sanctuary. Chamber Music Concert
music notes
Our friends of the Annapolis Chamber Music Festival return to St. Margaret's for a Saturday afternoon concert on February 22 at 4 p.m . Come see amazing musicians Ray Furuta and Laura Ward in a century-spanning program of works for flute, piano. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. All proceeds go toward the presentation of the 2020 ACMF season.
Confirmation Date Set
The date for confirmation in 2020 has been set – it will be April 19 at 4 p.m. at St. John’s in Ellicott City. If your child is ready to make this mature, informed decision, please contact Jeff Conover, our Youth Ministries Leader at jeff@st-margarets.org. As a reminder, EVERYTHING in Youth Group pertains to a child's own progress on their faith journey. Everyone in the group, regardless of age or grade in school, should be familiar with what we as Christians believe and how we as Episcopalians put those beliefs into action. That is why youth study the Nicene and the Apostle’s Creeds. It is why they spend time on youth-led service. When the Holy Spirit finds them, they’ll be ready!
Day School Auction Coming
St. Margaret's parent volunteers are busily working on the planning of their annual major fundraiser - the Silent Auction.

This year the event will be held at the offices of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis on Saturday, March 28. Currently, donations are being solicited from generous donors. If you or your business would like to sponsor or donate an upscale item, please go to this linked page.
