Governor Murphy to Speak at Commencement

NJ Governor Phil Murphy will deliver the commencement address at RVCC's annual spring commencement, May 16, at 10 a.m. Governor Murphy also will receive an honorary degree during the ceremony.

$300,000 Gift to Staff Environmental Studies Center

Thanks to a generous gift to the RVCC Foundation, the College's Center for Environmental Studies will have full-time leadership to implement its programs benefiting students and the larger community. A five-year, $300,000 gift from an anonymous donor will fund the Center's first Staff Scientist for Ecological Research and Restoration position.

Shirley B. Gordon Award

RVCC President Dr. Michael McDonough is being honored nationally for his work supporting student success. Dr. McDonough is one of only 13 college presidents in the country--and the only president from a New Jersey college--to receive the Shirley B. Gordon Award from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Giving Day

Members of the community are invited to participate in the annual RVCC Giving Day on March 19. The 24-hour online event will raise funds for scholarships, educational programs and more at RVCC. To be counted as a donor, visit www.raritanval.edu/GivingDay on March 19 and make a minimum gift of $10, choosing which area you want to support. Donors also may text RVCC to 71777 to donate from their phone, using any major credit or debit card.

Distinguished Alumni Award

RVCC is seeking nominations for its annual Distinguished Alumni Award that recognizes alumni for their exceptional professional successes and/or civic leadership within their local community, across the state, or beyond. A nominee's academic accomplishments, service to RVCC, and personal triumphs also will be considered.
