AADC March 2020 E-news & Douglass Alumnae Highlights
We Simply Want to Express Our Appreciation to Our Alumnae Community

I hope our monthly enews finds you and your family healthy and safe. Events in New Jersey and across our country are unfolding at an unprecedented rate as the coronavirus pandemic impacts us all. The Associate Alumnae of Douglass College is especially grateful for our alumnae community during this unprecedented global health crises. Now, more than ever, alumnae are making a positive impact in their communities.

We want you to know that we are thinking of each and every alumna and your family. As you probably know, last week we decided to suspend all spring AADC events and programs, including Spring Alumnae Council, AADC Celebrates Founders Day and Alumnae Awards, our benefactors recognition event and AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2020. We will continue to meet "virtually" via conference calls and videoconferencing to come together in the ways that we can during this crisis. I encourage everyone to stay closely connected to your loved ones, alumnae friends and colleagues for encouragement and support during this challenging time.

As for the AADC itself, the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center on campus has been closed and the AADC staff are working from their homes. They have access to email and can retrieve voice mail messages, and they will respond to any questions you may have, although you may experience some delays. We are working on refunds for those who registered for our events.

Our number one focus continues to be that of the safety, health and engagement of our alumna. Please visit our website for our latest updates and join us on social media for information and camaraderie. When you have a moment and want to connect, call a sister alumna to brighten her day.

Your safety and the ongoing success of the AADC in continuing to fulfill its Mission in Motion are paramount. We could not do it without our volunteer leaders and without you. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we face this global crisis together. We are stronger than the struggles we face.
