  • Officers Needed for HPS PTO for the 2017/2018 school year! Interested in a way to support our teachers and HPS community? We need volunteers to serve on the HPS PTO Board; Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary- along with supporting roles such as Fundraising Coordinator & Volunteer Coordinator all need to be filled.   • Badge requirements for overnight field trips. All OVERNIGHT field trips require chaperones to have a Purple level badge.

    Purple CPS "Volunteer Plus" Badge

    Local, state, and federal background checks are required for anyone who might have unsupervised contact with students. It is a requirement for our chaperones for overnight field trips and sports coaches. Individuals must have the county background check plus the state Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCII) check - $32, and an FBI fingerprint check - $34. The background check total of $66 must be paid in cash. 

    Instructions on how to obtain one: 

    Step by step instructions for obtaining any CPS badge are as follows

    1. Visit the Hyde Park School office for a Volunteer Authorization/Approval Form.
    2. Go to either the Hamilton County Justice Center, 1000 Sycamore St., downtown; or 12139 Royal Point Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 (Montgomery Location) for a local background check. Please bring a state ID or Driver's License and the total payment required for your background checks cash only.  
    3. Take the completed background check(s) and the Volunteer Authorization/Approval form to: Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education - Security Office. 2651 Burnet Ave Cincinnati, OH 45219 (Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. ONLY)

Oakley Daddy Daughter Dance 2017

This year's theme is "A Galaxy Far, Far Away..."
We need a few volunteers to help the event coordinators with decorating and food prep.

Each Spring Celebration concludes with a video to commemorate the past year.

HPS School Garden -  Happiness Grows

Crayons to Computers

There is an ongoing opportunity to volunteer Thursdays at C2C between 10 AM and 1 PM to earn additional classroom supply vouchers for our teachers. There will also be a Saturday morning volunteer opportunity February 25. If you would like to volunteer follow the link below and sign up!

Time: Two Sessions for your convienence 4:30-6:00 PM (SOLD OUT) or 7:00-8:30 PM
Cost: $12.50/person
Each ticket includes admission, live entertainment, a high resolution digital photograph/portrait, snacks/treats and soda, and a special gift for each young lady at the end of the evening.

International Night!!!

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, Feb 22nd 6-8 p.m.
Hyde Park School will be celebrating our diverse school community by hosting the second annual International Night. This is a fun night of food, entertainment, and cultural education. Last year we had over 30 families showcase 25 different countries!!!

We would like to invite families to join us this year for another amazing night!

T-BALL

Hyde Park School is partnering with Eagle Baseball and Knothole to bring some baseball opportunities to our kindergartener and first grade classes. Jeff Wiles of Eagle Baseball and Knothole will be having an open registration period for kids interested in T-ball for our kindergartners and Coach Pitch for our first graders. More information will follow in the subsequent days.

Lacrosse
