As members of the San Bernardino County Coalition of Domestic Violence Shelters, we are thrilled to be co-sponsoring this event.
This two-day workshop, presented by Kathy Estes, Executive Director of Infinite Possibilities, will offer the participants an opportunity to consider the realities of what it means to “live in poverty.” Through the research of Dr. Ruby Payne, this compelling and interactive workshop provides a foundation to understand the variables that sometimes interfere with achievement and success for the community of poverty. Participants will draw upon personal experiences and learn strategies for effectively engaging with the community of poverty.
Educators, managers, social workers, health care providers, business leaders, law enforcement agencies, probation officers, youth leaders, clergy, community based organizations and the public are all encouraged to attend.
The workshop will be offered on September 13-14 from 9am-4pm, both days. It will be held at Morongo Tribal TANF, 720 Carnegie Drive, Suite 150 San Bernardino, CA 92408.
