We made it to Friday!

To say it has been a trying week - around the world and at home in Kentucky - is certainly an understatement, but we hope that the clouds are starting to part and that each of you are  finding that we will make it through these tough times.   Each day, I am more amazed at the community that exists across the AIA and the efforts from all levels of the Institute to support one another. Here are a few updates:

Communication

• CEO, Robert Ivy, FAIA hosted calls with chapter staff nationwide to collect and share information on component activity.
• President Jane Frederick, FAIA is planning on reaching out individually to all of the component Presidents to understand their challenges.

Membership

• The AIA has extended the deadline for 2020 membership renewals. The original deadline was the end of this month but, in light of COVID-19, it is being extended to April 28. Installment plans are also available and dues waivers will be reviewed/considered on an individual basis as needed.

Resources & Forums

• The AIA has begun collecting resources to help firms understand what's available to help with business continuity, and to planning for an uncertain future. Bookmark this page and check it often as AIA is frequently adding additional resources. 
• Members of the Ohio Valley Region may join the virtual town hall hosted by AIA Columbus. Contact Qisti with AIA Columbus to be added to the call list.

Federal Response

• There is a LOT of action on Capitol Hill to help mobilize relief for small business and workers during these unprecedented times. Check out this fantastic memo from OVR Board Outreach Liaison, Tim Hawk, FAIA for a compilation of the may relief packages and extended benefits.
