Readings for March 22
We want to be sure to watch out for those in particular need in both our church community and in the Indianola community during this time. If you or someone you know would like help with groceries or errands, because you or your immediately family don’t want to risk being compromised, please email or call the church or contact Pastor Lisa. (319-530-3933) If you would like to be on the team available to help, please contact Vicki Wildman, vickifromiowa@gmail.com or 515-442-3103. (Members of the council are calling those in our community without email to check with them.)
Financial Giving
Your financial giving is important, both for your continued discipleship and for the mission of the church. You may give online at Redeemer’s website, sign up for regular online giving, give through the GivePlus+ app on your phone or mail your envelope to the church. We know that circumstances around this pandemic are going to impact some people financially, which means some will not be able to give as they had planned. That also means there is an opportunity for those of us who can give more to know that we can to serve our neighbor through our giving.

We are going to try and hold the Wednesday Women’s Bible study online via Zoom, It requires a computer with a camera. If you would like to participate, and haven’t already told Pastor Lisa, please let her know by Tuesday at noon.

Join us for worship Wednesday Evenings in Lent. We’ll hear faith testimonies from Redeemer members and worship using Holden Evening Prayer.  Join us on YouTube for the live-streamed worship!
Redeemer is present on Facebook in two ways.
  1. Our public Facebook page, which is the face we present to the world. Hopefully you have liked and followed the page. Positive reviews are very helpful too (It would be good to boost our rating from three stars to five stars...) The public page is called “Redeemer Lutheran Church Elca”
  2. Our private Facebook group. This is a place where church members (and those closely connected to the church) may share pictures of church activities, updates about what is going on, inquire about substitutes for worship leadership roles… Any of the kind of things we might talk about and share if we were talking together in the fellowship area. This is a space to lift up the exciting ways we see God present and at work in the life of our congregation. The private page is called “Redeemer Lutheran Church – Indianola” Please join, and invite other Redeemer folk to join.

Markers and ribbons are available to write your prayers and hang them on our new prayer wall. Thank you to Joe Bendon for building this as a way for us to stay connected.

We have a resource table with prayer/devotional books, bulletins for following along with our live-streamed services, and Pastor Lisa's weekly Redeemer @ Home newsletter. New resources will be made available on Fridays. If you know someone who is not connected to us by email, please let them know where they can find these resources or you can always pick up an extra copy and drop it off to them.
