March 8, 2020

Dear Bishop Blanchet Community,
Our Leadership Team continues to closely monitor coronavirus and COVID-19 conditions in the Seattle area, with guidance from King County Public Health and the CDC. While Bishop Blanchet does not have any confirmed cases of coronavirus or the illness COVID-19 at this time, we want to be as prepared as possible for a building closure in the future.
We will be changing tomorrow's schedule, March 9, to a Unified Day , so our students have the ability to check in with all seven of their teachers. There will be leniency on homework for periods 5-8 that was due Tuesday, because of the late notice of this change. Flexibility in this time of rapidly changing conditions is essential for us all.
Please note: all after school activities for tomorrow, March 9, will take place as scheduled, including sports, activities and incoming 9th grader class registration.
Our Leadership Team will be meeting tomorrow morning to make further risk assessments for the remainder of the week. Our Digital Distance Learning Plan protocol was sent out on Friday, March 6, and is available on our website .
Thank you for your diligence in monitoring your student's health and keeping them home if sick. Please email attendance@bishopblanchet.org if your student is absent.

Sincerely,

Tony DeSapio
President
