In beautiful downtown LeClaire on the Levee, this car show displays some of the area's best examples of British cars from makers such as Jaguar, MG, Mini, Triumph, and more. DJ Greg Zirbes will be providing British Invasion Rock & Roll music and announcing prizes. * Show starts at 9am - noon for car registration * Judging starts at noon * Awards presented at 3pm. Saturday, August 4, 9:30am: The Big Latch On is taking place at Ulmie's Nest, Royal-Tea, and Bamboo Baby Boutique. Free registration opens at 9:30am and closes at 10:15am with the actual latch taking place at 10:30am. This FREE Event is being held at Royal-Tea and Ulmie's Nest at 316 N. Cody Road, Le Claire, Iowa. The actual latch on will be behind Bamboo Baby Boutique (right next door to Royal-Tea and Ulmie's Nest). There will be giveaways and vendors in front of the three businesses. Please join in the movement to Normalize Breast Feeding while sipping tea or coffee and shopping eco-friendly mom and baby items! Groups of breastfeeding women who come together at registered locations around the world at a set time to Latch On their child for one minute will be added to the count. The goal is to beat previous Big Latch On records or maybe even the world record to normalize breastfeeding!

Thursday-Saturday, August 9-11: Tug Fest in LeClaire, Iowa. Carnival wristband night is on Thursday, 5-10pm; $20 for unlimited rides. Parade and huge fireworks display on Friday evening. Saturday morning there is a 5K Run/1Mile Fun Run and kids' tug is at 11am. The main event, tug-of-war across the Mississippi River between LeClaire, Iowa and Port Byron, Illinois, is from 12:30-2:30pm on Saturday. $5 admission charge to the Levee on Friday and Saturday; kids 12 and under are FREE. Saturday, August 18, 11am, 1pm, 3pm: Riverboat Twilight Sightseeing Cruises. $20 adults, $12 children 14 and under. What better way to see the river than from the deck of an old-fashioned riverboat! Treat yourself to a 1-½ hour sightseeing cruise aboard the Riverboat Twilight. These cruises will depart and return from the Port of LeClaire IA. Trip includes captivating Captain's narration and commanding views of the river, its wildlife, and quaint river towns. Cash bar and Gift Shop available. Complimentary coffee, tea, lemonade and water are available. There will be no food or snacks available, however, passengers are welcome to bring a sack lunch aboard. Sorry no coolers allowed. Join the Mississippi River Distilling Company and Cody Road Cocktail House "Cocktail Cruise!" If you've been to the Cody Road Cocktail House, you know how exciting and somewhat overwhelming the giant wall of cocktail choices can be. They always have 20 different feature cocktails on the menu. It's a tough choice because they are all delicious! Once you've tried one and you love it, then it's hard to veer off from a home run and try another. They want to encourage you to take a tour of all the cocktails on the menu. Each of the 20 cocktails will be numbered on the "Cocktail Cruise" card. Order each cocktail and have your card stamped.
