NAGICO ordered to pay $33,2 million advance to SXM Airport

Simpson Bay, St. Maarten (Monday July 30, 2018) - In a judgment of 30 July 2018, the Sint Maarten Court of First Instance ordered Nagico to pay to Princess Juliana Airport (PJIA) an advance of USD 33,2 million. This amount is in addition to an...

Dear Reader

We don't get the feeling there are any winners in the NAGICO vs PJIA case.

The judge basically ordered Nagico to do what it eventually has to do anyway: that is pay out a substantial amount to the SXM Airport. Consider the 33.2 million dollars as the second tranche in that process.

We read an interesting and hilarious letter to the editor in The Daily Herald by a Steven Johnson with a novel idea under the title " Nagico vs the Airport: The Answer".

When a reader saw the photo with The Daily Herald's article " NAGICO ordered to pay 33.2M advance to airport", he messaged us and asked if Richard Gibson Jr. is still on the board of the airport. It was an interesting question. But we honestly did not know the answer. So we intend to find out today.

Stay tuned...

In the meantime, have a great week. Bon siman!

Best regards,

The Publisher
