Bailey Road Park
We partner with the Cornelius Police Department for this annual celebration promoting community safety and crime prevention. Our free, family event includes children's activities, food and more!
This year will also feature a viewing of
Justice League
on our blimp screen (see more below).
Robbins Park
Join PARC, Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists, and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation for this inaugural event, as we learn about the different animals and insects that come out at night - especially moths!

Celebrate the end of summer with us at this free, family event. Enjoy corn hole, face painting, appearances by Cornelius Police & Fire, and more, then top off the evening with a viewing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on our blimp screen (see more below). Children are encouraged to wear their best Star Wars costumes! Concessions will be available for purchase.

Registration for the 2018 season of
NFL Youth Flag Football
is open now through August 13. This program provides a non-contact football opportunity for boys and girls ages 4-15.
Skills assessments will be held August 14 and 16.
Games will be played in September and October at Smithville Park or James Hoyt Wilhelm Park, beginning September 8.
Adult Men's Softball
registration is open through August 17. There is limited space, so don't delay. The first games will begin soon!
Registration closes on Tuesday, July 31 for cheerleading and tackle football with the Lake Norman Giants. For ages 6-13.

Drop-In Art: Mark your calendars for this awesome art experience returning to the Cornelius Arts Center beginning the week of September 10. For preschoolers and homeschoolers ages 2 and up. Children 5 and older may be dropped off, while those 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Register and pay at the door, $5 per hour.

Cornelius Youth Orchestras
is accepting new members for the 2018-2019 season. Youth with at least one year of playing experience are invited, along with their parents, to attend an Open House on Tuesday,
August 7
or 14, in the Bailey Middle School Orchestra Room.
New member rehearsal and orientation will be held on August 21 and the first full rehearsal will be held on August 28. Join us!
