Just Kidding Around
We're not fooling around when it comes to having fun. This month, trade in your traditional downtime for an anything-but-ordinary time with Chandler Parks & Recreation. From finding your groove, to getting a head start on your career, to creating your own materpieces, we've got hundreds of activities that will have pranksters of all ages kidding around.    
 
It's time to up the summertime ante. Pick up the latest edition of Break Time Magazine , hitting newsstands April 20, and come and play.

Chandler Jazz Festival
Listen up, Chandler; things are about to get pretty jazzy. Live jazz hits the Downtown Stage and sidewalks April 6 and 7 with the return of the  Chandler Jazz Festival ! The annual concert series puts the spotlight on both renowned jazz musicians from across the country and local bands for free, family-friendly performances to kick-off April's Jazz Appreciation Month.

Pictures in the Park
CinePark
Exciting news movie lovers; CinePark returns to Tumbleweed Park this May! Enjoy a series of free outdoor flicks Friday evenings: May 4, 11 and 18. The family-friendly flicks will begin at dusk (8 p.m.) and include the popular Coco, Hotel Transylvania 2 and Despicable Me 3. Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive early to scope out their viewing spot and partake in thematic activities and games inspired by each movie.

Recreation Swim Team
Aquatics  
Dive into competitive swimming when you join a Chandler Aquatics Recreation Swim Team. Register opens Monday, April 9 for residents at 10 a.m. and Monday, April 16 for non-residents. Goggle up and join the team by registering online or in person at the Aquatics Administration Office (650 E Ryan Rd).
Preschool 
Roll out your yoga mat and "om" your way into wellness as a family. Stretch young minds with Kids Story Time Yoga, where each week you'll bend and flip your little yogi as you move through yoga poses inspired by the text and pictures from new and classic picture books. Or join the om-amazing Yoga Kids class that teaches classic yoga poses as little yogis flip through read-alouds, songs and games.
Summer Camp
Youth
The warmer weather is just around the corner and it's time to start thinking about securing your spot at camp.  With sessions designed for the brainy, the brawny, the adventurous and the dramatic alike, there's fun for everyone. Each week is designed to entice kids with their favorite activities, engage them in weekly challenges and themes, and entertain them with new buddies, dedicated staff and silly surprises scattered throughout summer. Flexible camp options include your choice of all day, half day and specific weeks. Sessions run June 4-July 20 and are available the Chandler Community CenterEnvironmental Education CenterSnedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center.
Teen
King of the Court Be the King of the Court! Join the Chandler Tennis Center for a fast-moving court challenge social Saturday, April 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Winner takes home royal bragging rights and prizes. Challengers may sign-up as an individual or team. All players must be registered to play by Thursday, April 12. 
POP Pilates
Adult
"Dance on a mat" when you drop by the Tumbleweed Recreation Center for two new results-driven Group X classes! An incredible fusion of ab-chiseling and total body defining moves, POP PilatesĀ®  is choreographed to your favorite top hits. This intense mat-based workout challenges you to rhythmically flow from one exercise to the next, developing a rock solid core leaving no muscle untouched. Spend the second half of class, fusing the best of Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of dance with Barre AboveĀ® Express. Classes begin Tuesday, April 10 at 8 a.m. 
Watercoloring
Active Adult
Show your true colors and explore the creative possibilities of Watercolors using various painting techniques. From beginner to advanced, artists will learn how to define composition and analyze color in this creative workshop. Students must bring their own supplies. A supply list is available at the Senior Center and a supply fee is required for new participants.
Decades Dance
Therapeutics
Cut a rug at Chandler Therapeutics' Decades Dance sponsored by Recreation and Athletics for Individuals with Disabilities. Join us, Friday, April 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Chandler Senior Center as we dance throughout the decades paying tribute to those 50s, 70s and 90s superstars. Don't forget to come dressed as your favorite era. Admission is free and pre-registration is required.
