Learn About the Downtown Master Plan

Envision downtown: a robust, walkable, entertainment, shopping and mixed-use residential hub that takes a fresh look at how we live, shop and play. Our Downtown Master Plan will help bring that vision to life and guide the evolution of the downtown core, a half-mile stretch of Thousand Oaks Blvd. between Erbes and Conejo School Roads. Stop by one of the outreach events listed below and talk with City staff, and visit us online for information and to take the downtown survey.

Street Paving Project Begins this Month

The largest road-improvement project in the City's history begins this month with Public Works construction on over 50 miles of City streets. Drivers can expect lane reductions and street closures for overlay and paving work. We will post Parking/No Driving signs on affected streets 48 hours prior, and project updates are available online and via social media. To see a list of streets slated for re-surfacing, visit  www.toaks.org/streets.

Arbor Earth Month: EV Cars, Talks & More!

Explore environmental policy with Senator Henry Stern, check out the latest alternative fuel vehicles, ask an arborist about tree care, bring the kids for an EcoHero performance--and much more. Arbor Earth Month is coming to the Thousand Oaks Library with events throughout the month and a full day of activities on Saturday, April 28, 2018. View the website for all the details .

New Sidewalks Coming to Westlake Blvd.

It is one of the busiest and most frequented roadways in the city. This spring, we will be installing new sidewalk along Westlake Blvd. to enhance safety for all users. On April 12, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., a community meeting will provide details on the design and discuss ways to mitigate impacts during construction. For more information on the project and community meeting, visit www.toaks.org/westlake .
