As Spring makes phantom appearances in Northern New England, schools are plowing turf fields, shovelling play spaces and catching fly balls in gymnasiums. Ready or not, spring sport competitions are scheduled and the show will go on! ISANNE is busy preparing for our own scheduled events and we invite you to join our annual  events for  A dmission Directors ,  School Heads , and  College Counselors as well as these new events and special training sessions:    

RETREAT: The theme for the 2018 ISANNE Retreat is "Building the School Leadership Team of the Future" facilitated by Erin Cohn with Leadership & Design,  June 20-22 on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee at Brewster Academy. Click here for more information and to register.

LEADS: We are excited to launch the 2018-2019 New England LEADS Pilot  in alliance with NEASC for current and emerging school leaders. We are building on the powerful ISANNELEADS experience, incorporating the accreditation process and one-on-one mentoring with volunteer heads and administrative leaders. The curriculum includes 6 components throughout the year including the   2-Day Leadership Workshop : "Understanding and Managing Influence, Conflict & Difficult Conversations" with CM Partners described below. 

2-Day Leadership Workshop: "Understanding and Managing Influence, Conflict & Difficult Conversations", presented by CM Partners, a Cambridge, MA-based consulting firm founded by and based on the work of Roger Fisher, author of the book 'Getting to Yes', creator of the Harvard Negotiation Project, Nobel Peace Prize finalist and Harvard Law School Professor.  Participants experience an intensive, interactive session designed to improve their leadership competency through the practice of influence, strategic collaboration and enhanced communication skills.  July 10-11, Tilton School, Tilton, NH

Round Tables: We have organized two new affinity groups and scheduled Round Tables for  IT Directors on  April 25th and for  HR Directors on  April 11th. Please pass along to the appropriate people in your school.

I recently served on the Visiting Committee for one of our schools and I continue to be impressed by the intensive and creative process our schools  undergo to thoroughly examine their communities in order to find better ways to help kids succeed.
