Continuing Competence Newsletter
Volume II, Spring Issue Spring 2018
Each social work regulatory board has final authority in accepting any continuing education.
ASWB's Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program approves providers of social work continuing education. ASWB approves social work continuing education courses for the state of New Jersey. These approvals are separate processes.

Courses offered by ACE providers will not be accepted in New Jersey unless those courses have also been approved through the New Jersey CE course approval process.
Reminder! New co-sponsorship  policies
New co-sponsorship policy changes to take effect on March 30, 2018.
Think ahead!
If you are planning to submit courses for approval, please be aware that a decision can take up to 90 days from the date of submittal. The process may take longer if your materials do not meet the program standards, and timing is dependent on when you submit required revisions. We encourage providers to submit courses at least 90 days in advance of the first date you wish to offer them. Continuing education credit cannot be backdated and cannot be given for courses that were offered prior to New Jersey CE course approval.
