Photo Challenge Complete

Over the years, my small art quilt group, the Dirty Dozen, have had several challenges in which we all drew inspiration from the same photo.  We always choose one that's got a lot going on, so everyone can key in on a particular item.  It's always amazing how different they look.

This time our photo is this one of a Parisian flower stall.
And this is my finished quilt.  Even though I've abstracted it greatly, I'll bet you can see the similarity of shapes and colors.
I've written about my construction process on my blog, including the convoluted way I decided to work.  See it here.

I've named this "Blossoms Under a Blue Awning," but I'm not crazy about the title.  Got any suggestions?
Dying with Sharpies and Alcohol
I recently learned how to dye fabric using Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol.  Oh my, it' so much fun! I've written a two part tutorial, which I think you'll really enjoy.
