With unrelenting passion, RTD's mission is to help our clients achieve financial freedom so they may experience balanced and fulfilling lives. We do this through a process called Financial Life Planning™, planning that is shaped by your dreams.
The Fiduciary Rule - 2.0
The Fiduciary Rule, in its simplest form, was intended to require every financial advisor to act in their clients' best interest. While this sounds simple and logical, there has been much push back from lobbyists representing major firms who do not espouse this basic tenet. Apparently, the push back was effective. Earlier this month, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a 2-1 decision "vacating" the DOL Fiduciary Rule. At RTD, we believe that the requirement that an advisor put their clients' interests first should be the  minimum  standard. We will continue to serve as fiduciaries, differentiating  ourselves by providing  objective advice to our clients.

For You?
Roth Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) can be a great solution for saving for retirement. Roth IRAs often make sense if you are anticipating higher tax rates in retirement. With a Roth IRA, contributions are made after-tax, and withdrawals in retirement are tax-free.

Should I Opt for an HSA?

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax- advantaged medical savings account. Unlike a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) which is "use it  or lose it," an HSA allows you to save and invest your balance for current and future medical expenses.   An HSA must be coupled with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Typically, HSAs and HDHPs make sense for healthy people who are  willing to be subjected to a higher deductible in exchange for lower premiums.
