FREE TAX PREPARATION AVAILABLE

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides FREE tax preparation services for low to moderate income Montgomery County residents.

Most sources of financial aid require tax information from students and their families. Filing your taxes now will help you to be prepared for financial aid season in Fall 2020.

AMOUNT: $1,500
ELIGIBILITY:  Grades 9-12; Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident. Submit an original, videotaped creative project that offers a solution to the problem of distracted driving. Selection is based on project concept, message effectiveness, and creativity.

DUE DATE:  3/31/2020
AMOUNT:  $2,500
ELIGIBILITY: Be  a high school student. Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Must reside in one of the 50 states of DC. Submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec 31, 2026.
