Our Legislators in Washington, DC are working to renew or extend the current
National Flood Insurance Program
Deadline September 30, 2017
Senate is currently working on introducing 4 Bills

7 Bills have been introduced in the House
which will most likely be massaged into one Bill to be heard by the House mid-July. The Senate will also have a version. If there is no renewal in place by September 30 deadline many property owners may be no longer able to obtain Flood Insurance. The last time the program was allowed to lapse 1,400 sales/escrows were affected daily across the country. Over-all feeling is Washington will move forward to insure there is no lag for Property Owners.
