Cornwall Library Newsletter February 2020
From the Library Director...

We have a lot going on in February here at the Library! Browse the programs below, and come in for an old favorite or a new class or program that interests you.

February is also "Library" month for other reasons. Saturday, February 1, is Take Your Child to the Library Day, and here in Cornwall, our Youth Services Department is planning a fun-filled Cirque de Seuss! Come dressed as your favorite Dr. Seuss character and drop in for a silly afternoon!

Tuesday, February 25, is Library Advocacy Day. Library advocates from across New York converge on Albany each year to express their support for funding and policies that benefit libraries. Our collective efforts have resulted in over $11M in additional library aid statewide since 2011!

All New York libraries and citizens benefit from this advocacy — this means you! You can support our efforts at the Cornwall Public Library by calling the offices of Assemblyman Colin Scmitt or Senator James Skoufis. Tell them how important your library is to our community — and its voting citizens. Tell them that increased funding for libraries is critical.

With your help, our Library remains an essential and vital part of our community. We're proud to serve you, and we welcome your feedback!
