Small Business Series: Startup Marketing

Marketing a new product or service can be tricky for startups. In this Small Business Series kick-off class, you will learn to master storytelling marketing to evoke a strong positive reaction in clients. For ages 18+.

Growing by the Foot
Thursday, April 5, 6 - 7 p.m.
This workshop, taught by a Master Gardener, covers small-space vegetable and herb gardening using a block-style method. Novice and experienced gardeners welcome!  For ages 18+.

inventHQ Makerspace Launch Party!
Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Make. Connect. Imagine.
Join us for Broomfield's makerspace launch party at 6 Garden Center! invent HQ is an all-ages c ollaborative workshop dedicated to hands-on making and community learning. The space includes a laser cutter, 3D printers, sewing machines, electronic cutters, small board electronics, and more! All ages welcome.

Pizza & Prose: Dystopian Writing
Sunday, April 15, 1:30 - 4 p.m.
Writers, dig in and create your own dystopian world that stands out from the crowd as you enjoy free pizza!  For ages 11-18.

Let's Talk: Parenting in the Early Years
Sunday, April 22, 1 - 4 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon exploring parenting in the early years with community resource professionals who will discuss topics covering postpartum depression, challenging behaviors, and infant and toddler nutrition.  For adults.

Día de los Niños AND Día de los Libros
Thursday, April 26, 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 28, 9:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. plus 7 p.m. Audi Event
Celebrate Broomfield's multicultural community at these FREE events! On April 26 at 7 p.m., enjoy Same, Same but Different , presented by Dance Arts in the Auditorium. On April 28, experience story times in different languages, dancing, art, science, and food trucks all day. Then, stick around for a Fiesta Colorado performance in the Auditorium at 7 p.m. For each day, you can pick up free performance tickets in the Auditorium lobby starting at 6 p.m.  All ages welcome.

Summer Reading Early Registration Begins!
Monday, May 14
Save the date! Don't miss out on the library's Summer Book Adventures for children, teens, and adults, which runs from June 1 - July 31. The program starts  June 1 , but you can register online starting  May 14 . . . t hen you'll be ready to start logging your reading when  June 1  rolls around!

Artist-in-Residence: Pinot's Palette
Tuesday, May 15, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 17, 5 - 8 p.m.
Wednesday, May 23, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Friday, May 25, 1 - 4 p.m.
Join a professional artist from Pinot's Palette and work with acrylics on a large community canvas. The artist will also guide you through a painting on a small individual canvas, or you can do a painting all your own! Please Note: Guided paintings will take place at the top of each hour on a first-come, first-served basis throughout every 3-hour workshop session.  For ages 10+.
Drop-in (no registration), but supplies and space are  limited. First come, first served.

Local Author Fair
Saturday, May 19, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Come meet local authors and hear about their work, their process, and their creativity at our second Local Author Fair. Keynote speaker John Shors, author of Beneath a Marble Sky, will be addressing authors and readers alike. All ages welcome.

MakerLab: DIY Soup Mix
We had a laid-back evening preparing dry soup mix in lovely jars that participants of varying ages (from young kiddos to adults) got to decorate to suit their own personal style. Take a look at more  photos on our Facebook page.
