"Let's Get Together" Group - Every Thursday at 5:00pm in room 09
The Let’s Get Together Group will offer an opportunity for WCU Philly students to discuss their personal concerns, give and receive peer support, and address skills, techniques, and strategies to help provide relief to common symptoms and experiences of WCU Philly students, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life demands, and relationship problems.

To join, please email Dr. Kristin Shelesky, kshelesky@wcupa.edu . If you are unable to email in advance, please join us at the meeting time. The group will be held in Room 9.

On the WCU West Chester Campus

Working With Linguistic Minorities in Inter-Professional Collaborative Care to Improve Health Outcomes - Monday, April 9th, 6:00-8:00pm
WCU Business and Public Management Center, room 213

This is the last of a four-part series of trainings designed to address patient-centered, interprofessional collaborative care (aka integrated care), that is behavioral health and primary care services delivered collaboratively for optimal health outcomes.

This training, led by Dr. Pablo Arriaza , is focused on working with linguistic minorities in integrated care and will address the following objectives: 
  • Examine the ethics of interprofessional care with linguistic minorities.
  • Develop service plans to enhance healthcare outcomes for clients with limited English proficiency.
  • Describe the role of interprofessional care teams in communicating effectively with clients with limited English proficiency.
  • Discuss language complexities in treatment with Latinos.
