Dear Colleagues, Alumni, Students, Friends and Family:

I write to ask that you take a few moments to support the School of Architecture by participating in one of the Design Intelligence Annual Schools Surveys . The results of these surveys are published as a series of school rankings that, over the years, have come to be influential. Originally designed to be completed primarily by professionals with hiring and supervisory responsibility at large architecture firms, it was almost impossible that a small program such as ours would place in the rankings. However, the surveys are now open to Deans and Department Chairs of Schools of Architecture, as well as students and recent alumni.  The criteria have also expanded beyond how many architecture graduates from any one professional program might be hired by a large firm. The new survey methodology and criteria have resulted in a more diverse range of schools placing in the rankings, including The Cooper Union.

News reports, potential donors, grant applications, even prospective students give meaning to these rankings. As The Cooper Union continues its work to move "forward to free", it has become more important than ever for the School of Architecture to bring awareness to its mission, pedagogy and commitment to the discipline and profession of architecture. This is one way.

Please use the links below to access the survey before 31 May.

         *        For hiring/supervising professionals within firms
         *        For deans and academic program heads

Thank you for your continued support of the school on so many fronts, and I look forward to seeing you at the End of the Year Show!
