Upcoming Events at the Grand Isle Lake House

Citizens Concert Band
Wednesday, July 19, 6:30 PM
Grounds open at 5:30 PM for picnicking

The Citizens Concert Band has a full complement of brass, percussion and woodwinds. They play a toe- tapping, hand-clapping performance for young and old.  The band is well known to many in northwestern Vermont, having a history dating back to 1947. It began as an American Legion Band with concerts drawing huge crowds in Taylor Park in St. Albans. The band has been going strong ever since, playing a popular series of summer concerts in Franklin County and here in Grand Isle for Island Arts!

Vermont Jazz Ensemble
Sunday, August 13, 6:30 PM
Grounds open at 5:30 PM for picnicking

The Vermont Jazz Ensemble is a 17-member instrumental music group that performs music, most of which is in the Jazz or Big Band style, although the repertoire also includes Latin, Rock, Fusion and popular music.

The instrumentation includes five woodwinds (usually two alto saxes, two tenor saxes and one baritone sax - these players double on saxes, clarinet and flute), four trombones (one is a bass trombone), four trumpets (these players double on flugelhorn), drums, bass, piano and guitar.

Besides the obvious economic advantage in acquiring tickets early, it may be useful to know that advance sales are limited to the first 100 buyers, due to the limited sheltered seating in the event of inclement weather.

Food will be available for purchase.
