We're thankful to everyone who helped make YFC's summer camps a wonderful experience for so many teens. We had a total of 88 campers between our junior and senior high trips, and saw eight students choose to accept Christ into their lives. Many teens were very impacted by the teachings on Daniel and took scary steps of faith as a result.
This year was especially exciting because we had four girls who are involved with Gracehaven come to our high school mission/service camp. The teens spent their days serving the elderly of Mansfield, Ohio with home repairs. In the evenings they spent time in family groups where talk about the day's teachings and share about their lives. This was a HUGE step of faith for these girls as they've not had people in their lives they can trust. In the family groups they chose to open up and share details they've not told anyone before. When asked what is a time when you had to take a scary step of faith, one of these girls said something very poignant: "I
think right now is the bravest I've ever had to be. I am giving up everything I have ever known and trusting that what I am trying to do is right and better for me, even though I have never done it."

"How Camp Impacted Me"
Introducing Marc Johnson
We are excited to introduce Marc Johnson as a new member of our staff. Marc is leading our Campus Life Club in Gahanna, and will also help with teaching and training staff and volunteers.
Marc has been working with students for more than twenty years. He studied journalism at The Ohio State University and received his Masters in Christian Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. For 16 years he helped lead the Junior High ministry at Xenos Christian Fellowship in Columbus. He enjoys meeting people, teaching the Bible, rock climbing, playing guitar, riding motorcycles, listening to audio books, and traveling with his wife, Charis.
How Can Golf Help At-Risk Teens?
The
Youth Guidance Golf Marathon provides the opportunity to help at-risk teens while enjoying an entire day of golf. This golf outing will be held on August 30 at Royal American Golf Course.

Do You Like to Work with Kids?
YFC needs adults who love to work with kids. Depending on your interests, we have opportunities for you:
Mentoring - Mentors commit to work with middle or high school students once a week for a minimum of one year. YFC provides training and lots of support. For more information

Tutoring - Tutors go into elementary schools and work with students during their lunch hour to help them with their reading skills. Commitment is once a week from October to April. We partner with more than 30 schools in Columbus, Hilliard, Dublin and Westerville. For more information,

He barely participated until I asked a family related question. Immediately Jordan broke down crying. Through the tears he said, "All I want to do is hug my mother again. That's all I need from God."
