EVA BC is pleased to announce its 2
nd Annual "Be More Than a Bystander" Award, which will be presented at the 2017 Annual Training Forum. This award honours dedicated community members who make outstanding contributions to ending gender-based violence by speaking up, interrupting and confronting harmful language and behaviour within their community, and who demonstrate courage in opposing gender-based violence.
This award is an important continuation of the Tony McNaughton Award for bravery in opposing violence, established by the Ending Relationship Abuse Society of BC (ERA BC) in 2004.

Changing Perceptions: EVA BC and
BC Women's Partner on Research Project
with the goal of advancing best practices to better support survivors of sexual assault to disclose and access much needed services. This community-based participatory research project, funded by the Vancouver Foundation, aims to shift public discourse around sexual assault in BC, leading to less victim-blaming and more trauma-informed responses across multiple systems - particularly in health and justice.
