S.R. 408 EASTERN EXTENSION PD&E STUDY
|
The extension would provide a new east-west travel alternative, relieving congestion on SR 50 in east Orange County. The limited access facility would provide an additional emergency evacuation route, and be a first step in a long-term vision for an expressway connection to I-95.
A public hearing on the recommended corridor for the SR 408 Eastern Extension PD&E Study will be held on Thursday, April 26 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the East River High School, 650 East River Falcons Way, Orlando, FL 32833.
On May 10, 2018 the CFX Board will review the study findings and determine whether the recommended corridor should move forward for final design.

CFX OPENS NEW SR 528 / INNOVATION WAY INTERCHANGE
|
|
CFX celebrated the opening of the improved interchange at State Road 528 and Innovation Way in east Orange County with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 9.
Central Florida residents and elected officials gathered to celebrate the opening of the State Road 528 / Innovation Way interchange on March 9 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
CFX Board Chairman and Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins, Jr. and CFX Board Treasurer and Seminole County Commissioner Brenda Carey joined elected officials and business leaders from across the region to celebrate the Innovation Way gateway that will connect people, jobs and communities in growing southeast Orange County.
The $62.5 million interchange is part of an economic development corridor that promotes hightech business and job growth, along with quality housing, new schools, parks, trails and natural spaces. It provides drivers convenient access to Orlando International Airport and Brevard County beaches.
The improved interchange also celebrates CFX’s objective to accommodate multi-modal within the right of way of its expressways by accommodating the future All Aboard Florida's Brightline passenger rail service connecting Orlando with South Florida.

- Drive courteously and allow fellow drivers to merge
- Slow down and do not change lanes once you have merged
- Pay attention at all times
