Baker Donelson Adds Health Law Team in Florida Jodi B. Laurence and Melissa Goldman Join Firm's Fort Lauderdale Office 
Jodi B. Laurence and Melissa Goldman have joined Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale office as members of the Baker Ober Health Law Group.

"Jodi and Melissa are respected attorneys in the state and bring a wealth of health law experience to our Florida team, strengthening our position in the region and enhancing our capabilities to offer excellent client service," said James M. Talley, managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale and Orlando offices.

Ms. Laurence joins the firm as a shareholder with a primary focus on health care regulatory issues including corporate compliance and fraud and abuse. She also has experience in the formation and structuring of health care companies and providers, mergers and acquisitions, contracting, corporate compliance and fraud and abuse issues. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Laurence served as general counsel for several large hospitals and health systems. Ms. Laurence is a Florida Board Certified Health Law attorney, has organized and lectured at the Health Law Certification Review Course for more than 15 years, currently serves on The Florida Bar Health Law Executive Council and is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Law School, her alma mater, where she teaches Health Law.

Cleveland Clinic Opens the Coral Springs Family Health Center
$53 million facility offers specialty care and outpatient surgery

Cleveland Clinic recently announced the opening of the C oral Springs Family Health Center, a new 73,000 square-foot facility offering specialty care, outpatient surgery, endoscopy and advanced imaging services. The $53 million facility is located at the southeast corner of the Sawgrass Expressway and University Drive at 5701 N. University Drive, in Coral Springs, FL.

The addition of the Coral Springs Family Health Center is part of a $302 million capital expansion, driven by growth and the demand for Cleveland Clinic's services in Florida.  

"The Coral Springs Family Health Center provides convenient access to world-class care to residents in Coral Springs, Parkland, as well those in northern Broward and southern Palm Beach County," said Wael Barsoum, MD, CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic Florida, based in Weston.
