. These cards are for quick refresher training for transit drivers and include quizzes. The Spanish cards have the same content and format as the English cards. They are available for download or an agency can order one full hard-copy set per year. They will be on our

U.S. DOT and FTA Updates
At 2:00 PM ET on August 8, 2018, FTA will host a
webinar
to provide more information about FTA's
Tribal Transit Program
competitive funding opportunity. Learn about the funding, application eligibility, and submission process. FTA issued its
Notice of Funding Opportunity
for the Tribal Transit Program on July 11, 2018.
Through an
online dialogue
about what a “federal project” is and how that affects project implementation, FTA is posing questions and inviting State DOTS, transit agencies, transit operators, and other stakeholders to share their opinions. You can also submit new ideas for discussion.
FTA issued two final rules on safety of public transportation: the
Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan
(PTASP) rule and the
Safety Certification Training Program
rule, both effective July 19, 2019. The PTASP requires states and certain operators of public transportation systems receiving federal funds to develop plans based on the Safety Management System approach.
FTA will be hosting overview
webinars
on the rules on July 25 and 31, 2018.
Several page changes were made to FTA's
Award Management Circular 5010.1E
, effective July 16, 2018, including financial reporting and capital leases. The circular assists recipients in administering FTA-funded projects and meeting award responsibilities and requirements.
