Sunday Breakfast
Silver Tea is this weekend so our next breakfast is Sunday,
February 9, which will be provided by guest chefs, Rick & Mason Rummel.
Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

St. Luke's Annual Silver Tea
will be
Sunday, February 2, in Board Hall following the 10:00am service. St. Luke's has hosted the Silver Tea for over 45 years. Donations support
Home of the Innocents which provides shelter and care for children who are without support when their families are in trouble. A representative for the Home will speak at the Tea.
This year's Tea reception will feature tea, coffee, wine, etc. and finger foods. Anyone who can donate, please bring finger foods to Board Hall. If you need child care, please contact the church office in advance and we will gladly provide it. Come enjoy the fellowship and participate in outreach.
In 2011, St. Luke's received the Childfriend of the Year award from Home of the Innocents for all the support we have given them over these many years. Let's generously support the Home again this year! Be sure to make your check payable to "Home of the Innocents".

Organ Recital and Choral Evensong
Sunday, February 16, 5:00 pm
St. Luke's Music Series is pleased to present Dr. Stephen Price, Organist (Assistant Professor of Organ, Ball State) in concert. Dr. Price recently received his doctoral degree from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. His program will feature music of J. S. Bach, Louis Vierne, and Marcel Lanquetuit.
Dr. Price received a Fulbright Scholarship to Toulouse, France, where he studied historical and modern performance practices of the French Organ music.
The lovely contemplative service of Evensong will follow at 5:30 pm sung by St. Luke's Choir.

YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on
February 18 at 7:00. We so enjoyed Wendell Berry that our February 18th meeting will continue the discussion of Old Jack augmented by a review of
Hannah Coulter. Another character in Berry's Port William tales, Hannah Coulter, the elderly narrator, recounts the love she has for the land and her quasi-fictitious northern Kentucky farming community.
In the wake of black history month for our March 17th meeting, we suggest a book drawn on new documents and genealogical research by Kate Clifford Larson,
Bound for the Promised Land, Harriett Tubman, Portrait of an American Hero. Larson gives Tubman the powerful, intimate, meticulously detailed biography she deserves.

Lyman House, February 18, THIRD (3rd) Wednesday monthly at 7:00 PM for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre. At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.
