The Chamber and City of Goleta partnered to present the 11th annual State of the City address to the business community on April 6th. The event featured an update on City finances from City Manager, Michelle Greene, a State of the City address from Mayor Paula Perotte and an update on Planning from Peter Imhof,  Director, Planning & Environmental Review

Mayor Paula Perotte used her speech to highlight the recent growth of the area and to credit the work of two council members who were elected in 2016.
"Council members (Stuart) Kasdin and (Kyle) Richards are adding their new ideas and energy to those of our other council members' long experience," she told more than 400 business representatives, elected officials and residents gathered inside The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. "This team positions us to turn the page for a new and even brighter future."

The Chamber and our Old Town Business Committee have been actively participating in the City's process called Complete Streets, a project to study enhancements in Old Town Goleta, including landscaping, traffic circulation, pedestrian safety and bike lanes. The Chamber has formally endorsed  "Option B" of the Complete Streets program .

The Chamber's goals are to increase a sense of place in Old Town both for residents there and the broader Goleta community.

The Goleta Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce GoGoleta's "Goleta Style" Campaign won a Gold Addy Award for Branded Content and Entertainment Campaign from the Reno branch of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The "Goleta Style" campaign brings Goleta's lifestyle and brand experience to the forefront of the campaign messaging. The campaign is centered around the laid-back, approachable culture of the destination, and the way the destination makes visitors feel. The "Goleta Style" campaign was brought to life using emerging marketing strategies and tactics: influencer partnerships, video series and corresponding advertising campaign as well as strategic digital content.

Your local Chamber knows that you value running your business in the most efficient and sustainable way possible.  For example, there are financial opportunities available through the Recycle Market Development Zone (RMDZ) and CalRecycle. We are pleased to be partners with several programs that can help you reduce energy, water, and waste, incorporate recycled materials in your products, and save money.

In order to connect each business with the right opportunity, we would appreciate you completing this short survey
