Governor Cuomo Announces Almost $1 Million in
Lake Ontario Flood Relief Funding
Governor Cuomo announced that the towns of Greece and Parma in Monroe County received more than $942,000 to restore and rebuild following last year's Lake Ontario flooding. The funding is being used to reimburse emergency costs as well as rebuild and fortify the infrastructure to protect communities from future damage. New York has committed $55 million to recovery efforts to support homeowners, small businesses, and community infrastructure.

HCR Commissioner RuthAnne VIsnauskas   said, "Under Governor Cuomo's leadership we are providing the tools and resources to Lake Ontario communities to help them in their recovery from last year's flood and prepare them against the danger of rising water in the future. New York State stands with the 113,000 residents of Greece and Parma."

The Lofts are available to working families, including residents working in the city's downtown area or employed at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

HCR Commissioner Visnauskas said, "The adaptive reuse of this long vacant former school into high-quality, affordable homes is another step forward in the revitalization of downtown Buffalo.
