Message From the President
The Seneca County Farmer’s Market in Downtown Tiffin will begin its 2018 season on Saturday, June 9, 2018. This year’s calendar includes 9 total dates on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, June through September, with a bonus market in October!

For all dates, the market begins at 9 am and concludes at 1 pm, rain or shine. Vendor
set-up begins at 8 am.

The market is located on South Washington Street between East Perry Street and East
Market Street. A variety of products will be available, including baked goods, fresh
produce, plants and flowers, and more. Live entertainment, demonstrations and
children’s activities are also being planned.

New this year in conjunction with the farmers’ markets is the Court Street Collection. A
non-traditional market on Court Street from Washington Street to the alley, any
business is welcome to have a pop-up shop, but space is limited.

The Seneca County Farmers’ Market in Downtown Tiffin is sponsored by the Seneca

The Medical Marijuana Policy Symposium: Medical Marijuana in the Workplace will help employers better understand the medical marijuana law in Ohio, which will be in effect by September 8, 2018, Is your business ready to navigate the policies that directly impact the business and the employees that you manage? There are questions about how medical marijuana impacts drug-free workplace policies, workforce readiness, workplace safety and productivity and even discrimination concerns that employees need to consider. Each speaker will give their experience and perspective on employer impacts of medical marijuana and provide guidance at what employers need to consider.

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Services is hosting a Be In The Know Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 7:30 am. to 9:00 am. This event will take place in the Community Room in the Chamber office, 19 W. Market St., Ste. B., Tiffin.
Learn about chamber programs and benefits! Ty Cooper, Jeffrey Jewelry, will give a presentation on Wish Lists, Open Houses and how to use these to your advantage.  Barb Vogel, Rock Run Bulk Foods & Services, will talk about Open Houses and how to plan one. 
Time will be allotted to share ideas.

Get ready for the 2018 Chamber Challenge Golf Scramble on Thursday, June 14th, Mohawk Golf and Country Club! This year’s Chamber Challenge will feature the annual Golf Scramble Tournament, Chipping and Putting Contests, and Proxy Prizes throughout the day. Wanted: Outstanding Educators
The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Services is seeking nominations of educators who have exemplified vision, leadership, and commitment to the improvement of education in our community. The deadline for nominations is July 18, 2018.
Students should nominate a teacher that has inspired them to be the best they can be. Parents should nominate teachers that have challenged and helped their son or daughter to achieve what they thought was impossible. Teachers may nominate a co-worker who goes above & beyond for their students.
 “Fall” in Love with Tiffin Festival & Christmas Fest
           Tiffin will be celebrating its first “Fall” in Love with Tiffin event on November 17. The event is a one day festival that will encompass the Tiffin area. The Chamber encourages all businesses to be a part of this event in some way.
The event will be used to promote small business and any future events that may be happening. Businesses are encouraged to have open houses, preview specials for Small Business Saturday happening on November 24, or any other special event of your choosing. The goal of this fall festival is to join both the community and businesses of Tiffin and the surrounding areas.
           Tiffin and surrounding areas will also be hosting a Christmas Festival beginning November 30 and ending December 2. This three day event encourages all of Tiffin to join the holiday spirit. There will be hands on activities for people of all ages. The goal of this event is to deliver a unique Christmas experience for the entire community.

Help Support the Tiffin Competitive Paint-Out
Fundraising is underway to support the Tiffin Competitive Paint-Out this June 23! Artists of all skills can participate in the event and have the opportunity to win Best in Show, First, Second, and Third Place; and the Mayor Award during this event.
View the fundraising opportunities here . All money raised beyond the needed total will be used to fund youth and Developmentally Disabled art programs at the Tiffin Art Guild.
