PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Manufacturing professional Mike Templeton visited our club last week and it was interesting to hear his take on the manufacturing industry in northeast Florida. On a national level, the predictions are that the U.S. will surpass China in manufacturing ten years from now. As this sector grows, employers will be seeking a workforce with both hard skills (logistics, certifications, technical training) and soft skills (creative thinking, ethics, teamwork).

We had a blast at Thursday's Member Hangout at Aroma's on Southside Blvd. These get-togethers are a great opportunity to network with your fellow SBMC members. Our club organizes a business social each month, so stay tuned for April's event!

See you Wednesday!

Steve DeSorbo
2018 President

MEMBERSHIP DUES INCREASE

The SBMC Board of Governors approved a membership dues increase. Effective April 1, 2018, individual memberships will increase to $225 and corporate memberships will increase to $325. The one-time initiation fee of $50 will remain the same.
We haven't changed our dues structure in 8 years and this small increase will yield significant positive changes in our budget. With this increase, SBMC will be able to focus more on our charity and civic work.

CAR SHOW - APRIL 7

The 8th Annual SBMC Car Show will be held on Saturday, April 7th, from 10am-2pm, at Aromas on Southside Blvd near Tinseltown! A big THANK YOU to Aromas for being such a gracious host! Vendor exhibit spots only cost $50! This is a great way for you to show off your business.
