Defy gravity at iFLY!

Have you ever dreamed of flying? Now is your chance! iFLY Whitby, an exciting indoor skydiving facility, recently opened its doors for business at 75 Consumers Drive. The facility features a modern full-glass wind tunnel, which has a 14-foot diameter and an 18-foot-tall glass flight chamber with wall-to-wall airflow. This provides the same feeling people get when they jump out of a plane (but indoors!).

iFLY Whitby is also hosting the Canadian Indoor Skydiving Championship on April 6 and 7. This is an event not to be missed!

April 2 to 7 is Archives Awareness Week!

Durham Region has a rich history. Did you know that every municipality in Durham Region has archives, local history collection, and/or a museum? The employees in these institutions work hard all year to make sure our region's history is accessible to residents, students and researchers. The Durham Region Area Archives Group (DRAAG) is made up of local archivists promoting the use of archives in our communities. In April, archives across Ontario have the opportunity to highlight some of this good work during Archives Awareness Week. Follow DRAAG on Facebook from April 2 to 7 to find out more about their collections, and the work they do throughout the year.
