Harmonizing Life and Leadership:
Everyone wants to balance their personal and professional lives, but it often feels more like walking a tightrope than playing on a see saw. Today we will talk about finding harmony between your desire to love the people you work with while still being an effective leader.
Upcoming Events
In 2014, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This did not halt plans, but it did alter...his walking. He is only slightly slower now than when he played baseball (which is why he was a pitcher). He started doing speaking engagements and runs a website devoted to "Pushing Limits for God's Glory" ( warrior613.com ). He is thankful everyday (although there are times he needs to remind himself of this) for this unexpected, but wonderful, journey.

In his current community in Anderson, SC, he serves on the New Member Outreach Team at Concord Baptist Church. He also serves on Anderson Christian School's Board of Directors and serves as the President for the South Carolina Alumni and Advancement Directors Association (SCAAD). He serves as a District Activist Leader for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and still gives baseball lessons to children in the community. In more recent activity, he is an aspiring Adaptive Crossfit athlete. He recently was chosen as one of 10 seated athletes in the world to compete at Miami's Fitness Festival, Wodapalooza.
ReferenceUSA will be hosting an open forum demonstration regarding our premier business & consumer information databases in conjunction with any and all interested Anderson County Library staff members. The purpose of this session is to train staff/community members on the functionality of the database and display the benefits it serves to libraries and their surrounding community members. The presenter will encourage an open dialogue in which attendees may ask questions and interact about the database
features. Please feel free to forward this invite to any other members who may be interested in attending.

Community Reminders

McNair Law Firm's Adam Artigliere (2012 - 2017 Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Director) coordinated a Law Merit Badge Academy for Troop 235 of the Boy Scouts of America.  Artigliere, along with the Pickens County Sheriff and the Clemson Police Department, provided information about the development of the legal system, the role of lawyers and law enforcement, and the importance of the law in our society. The scouts conducted a mock trial where they learned basic trial process and evidentiary practice. Sixteen scouts earned their Law Merit Badge through this Academy, and McNair plans to conduct similar efforts in the future.
