From Ordinary to Extraordinary Lives
Recently I have been completing the study, Experiencing God, by Henry and Richard Blackaby and Claude King (2007, Lifeway Press). The study that ordinary people are regularly used by God in extraordinary ways.
Most of you reading this newsletter would have heard the name Dwight L. Moody. Perhaps you even connect the name with an evangelist who drew thousands in Great Britain and America to Christ. What you might not know is that he was poorly educated, worked as a shoe salesman, and was never ordained as a pastor. When he responded to the words of Henry Varley - "The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through and in a (man) who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him." (p. 27, Blackaby/King), extraordinary impact for the Kingdom resulted.
