Time to focus to get even more active, take action, and create change! We are glad you connected with STEM Pathways to help us do just that in the lives of young people in the Boston Region and beyond!

2018 STEM Pathways mini-Jamboree February 17th reaffirmed the need to continue convening, exposing, and educating the community - high school students, undergraduate students, non-profit organizations, parents, BU faculty/staff, etc - in conversations on STEM and synthetic biology! STEM Pathways High School Training Session in Synthetic Biology
The STEM Pathways outreach program is offering one-day training sessions in a real, synthetic biology environment! All training sessions will cover fundamental synthetic biology tools and concepts like DNA purification, gel electrophoresis, and bacterial transformation!
Lunch will be served! Open to students 16+ years old.
Spring 2018 Training Dates are:
Saturday, April 14, 10:00-4:00PM. Deadline to apply: Wednesday, April 4th.
Saturday, April 28, 10:00-4:00PM. Deadline to apply: Wednesday, April 18th.

SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) in the City
Saturday, April 7, 2018
The tenth annual "
SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) in
the
City - A Day of Career Exploration for High School Girls" will take place on Saturday, April 7th, 2018.
Approximately 150 high school girls will:
*
Start the day at Boston University with kickoff speakers and Science Bazaar
* Have lunch at Emmanuel, Harvard, Northeastern, Simmons, Wentworth, or Vertex
* Participate in hands-on science activities led by professionals
* Eat Lunch with women working in Science, Engineering and Technology
* Find out about cutting-edge research that will change the world
Editing Our Evolution Forum at the Museum of Science
Tuesday, April 17 | 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Funding for this program has been provided by the National Science Foundation. Presented as part of the Cambridge Science Festival.
