The board and all of our committee chairmen want to wish all of our shipmates Happy Belated Easter as well as a Happy Passover.
Remember to treat everyone as you would like to be treated.  God bless all of us.
BRANSON 2018 REUNION UPDATE
The hotel has been selected.   The group events are scheduled. The banquet menu and entertainment details are completed.   The photographer is ready to make us all look pretty.

So what's missing?   Your registration!   Please take a moment to either register online via the website at usswainwright.org or send in the form that was attached to the recent hard copy newsletter. The board worked hard to make this year's event as inexpensive as possible but we need certain minimum numbers to make it all work.   A dues paid shipmate, participating in all the events and purchasing a t-shirt will pay only $243.00   His wife or significant other will pay only $253.00.   We have also maintained the 3 payment option to make it easy to balance the cost against your usual expenses.

We are especially looking forward to shipmates west of the Mississippi that have not been able to participate in prior years due to travel considerations.

So, what are you waiting for?   Register for the reunion and with the hotel and start making your plans to join us in the Ozarks in September.

See all y'all in Branson!!

This year's t-shirt design has also been completed:
TRAILER TRIP CANCELLED

Due to a schedule conflict, we will not be attending this years Vietnam and All Veterans Conference of Brevard County in Melbourne, Florida.

This has become one of our favorite trips due to the attendance and the sharing of stories and emotions with other vets.

We will plan on being there next year.
REUNION CRAFT SALE
Leanne Braddock, Trena Bennett and Nancy Carlson of our Women of the Wainwright group have, for the last few months, been working on ideas for crafts to be sold at the reunion and used as a fund raiser.

Some of the items that the above ladies are making are:

- Scrubbies for dishes
- Soup bowl holders (fabric)
- Potholders, hot mitts and gilling-themed hot mitts
- Pinecones and pinecone crafts
- Key chains
- Knitted washcloths
- Kleenex travel size sleeves or holders
- Wine glass ID tags/rings

If anyone is willing to assist in making your own idea of a craft that can be donated to the cause, please let either Trena Bennett at [email protected] or me at [email protected] know. No item should be valued at more than $10.00 - $20.00.   This is separate and apart from our usual raffle of items that you purchase or make that are indicative of your home.

The USS Wainwright Veterans Association is a 501(c) 3 non-profit association of men who served aboard any of the three USS Wainwright ships. Our association exists to keep alive the memory of all vessels named Wainwright. With our mobile museum we educate the public about what our sailors have accomplished, and or completed while onboard any of the ship's named Wainwright. This mobile museum also promotes the United States Navy and Americanism, but we cannot do this without your support. We need your donations to support cost of operating this one of a kind teaching tool. Your donations are 100% tax deductible so please be generous and help us keep our museum going. Donations can be made on our web site http://www.usswainwright.org/donate/
