Apply Now for Controlled Open Enrollment, Applications Due April 30
The application window for Controlled Open Enrollment in Palm Beach County Schools is now open.

The District offers parents and legal guardians the opportunity for their child to apply to attend a school through the Controlled Open Enrollment process.

While no transportation will be provided for these programs, families from outside of Palm Beach County and the schools' regular attendances zones are eligible to apply to schools that have availability for enrollment.

For a list of schools available for Controlled Open Enrollment and the application,  click here.  Applications will be accepted through April 30. Controlled Open Enrollment selections will be posted on May 10.


StudentProtect App Launches, Connects Users Directly with Law Enforcement
A new app that allows students, parents and staff to report threats and suspicious activity directly to local law enforcement has launched. 

The app, called StudentProtect, a collaboration between the School District of Palm Beach County, District Police Department and  Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office,  has the ability for the user to dial 911 and have the exact GPS location of their mobile device sent to first responders. Users can also subscribe to specific schools to receive alerts and notifications from law enforcement. Learn more...

Register Now for a Summer of Sunshine and Smiles at a District-Run Camp

Summer is near and now is the time to begin enrolling students in summer camps. The School District of Palm Beach County's Afterschool Programming sponsors summer camps that offer sunshine, smiles, and safety, making them the summertime place to be.

Looking for a little extra money to help pay for college? We've developed a scholarship tool that will match your child's talents and interests with current scholarship opportunities. Click here to access the database. Happy scholarship hunting! 


Up to 600 helmets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis on April 7 by Safe Kids Palm Beach County, a non-profit dedicated to keeping children safe. Any child who receives a helmet will also receive a free t-shirt from Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County.

The helmet giveaway is part of Safe Kids Day 2018, a national event highlighting safety issues in our community.
