From Lawrenceville, Virginia,  Theresa Henderson is a Brunswick Senior High School graduate.  She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Administrative Support Technology from Southside Virginia Community College.

Immediately following her graduation from SVCC, Theresa was hired by Peebles Department Stores (now Stage Stores) as an Administrative Assistant in their corporate office in South Hill   She remained with the company for seventeen years, earning numerous promotions culminating with her final position as Assistant Department Manager of Human Resources.

Theresa is currently employed by SVCC as Administrative Assistant to the VP of Finance and Administration.  Her future plans include completing a bachelor's degree and furthering her career at the College.

Reflecting on her time as a student, Theresa says, " SVCC offered a wonderful education and the convenience of being close to home. My advice to potential students would be to take advantage of everything SVCC offers and put forth your best effort to do well and learn as much as possible".
